Each year, the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) holds the Teen Video Challenge, a national competition for teens to get involved with reading and their public library's summer reading program. Winning videos are selected at the state level, and are used as promotional materials for summer reading nationwide.

Congratulations to Iowa's 2016 winner:
DeWitt Library's Katie Schnack!

For the sixth year of the CSLP Teen Video Challenge, the focus was on the 2016 theme of wellness, fitness, sports and games. The slogan to be included with each video was "Get in the Game — Read".

Each winner receives a monetary award of $150. Congratulations Katie!

The CSLP is a consortium of states working together to provide a unified summer reading theme along with professional art and evidence-based materials so that member libraries can provide high-quality summer reading programs at the lowest possible cost and to play a significant role in literacy initiatives.
