Books for babies is a program started by the Frances Banta Waggoner Community Library to introduce new parents and their children to our library.

How It Works:

The library invites new parents in the community to stop by the library to pick up a special "Baby Bag" for their infant, which contains a book, magnet, and a list of our upcoming story times.

Why We Do It:

Reading is essential to encouraging a children's curiosity and imagination, and it's never too early to start. At the library, we can help you keep pace with your child as they grow, providing access to hundreds of books (both new favorites and classics) as well as recommendations for your child at each age. Through Story Time, we can also help you meet other new parents in the area.

*If you are new to town, or know of a family that qualifies for 'Books for Babies', please let us know or invite them to stop by the library!
